Novo Nordisk and Fluor Select AdvanceTEC for cGMP Cleanroom Design and Construction of Massive DAPI-US Project
Contract award driven by AdvanceTEC’s industry leading 3D BIM technology and “best of breed” integration approach to deliver unmatched value
Richmond, VA, April 9, 2018 – AdvanceTEC, a leader in cleanroom design, construction and process integration, today announced that it has been selected to provide comprehensive cGMP cleanroom design-build services for Novo Nordisk’s DAPI-US project in Clayton, North Carolina. Novo Nordisk, a global healthcare company with more than 90 years of innovation and leadership in diabetes care, will utilize the facility for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients for a range of current and future diabetes medicines. The Clayton facility marks a reported multi-billion-dollar investment for the company.
AdvanceTEC’s design and construction work is integrated with Fluor’s ECPM fast-track project approach. AdvanceTEC was selected after an extensive competitive bid and evaluation process. Key to the selection were the company’s advanced 3D BIM Modeling, its open market integration, and its ability to provide skilled team resources from concept to commissioning. AdvanceTEC demonstrated its ability to perform to BIM 400 Series standards, applying leading edge technology and experienced in-house resources. The company’s unique approach to integration enables best-in-class systems across all applications to be integrated into a seamless cGMP cleanroom solution.

The massive DAPI-US project spans multiple years and four buildings on the Clayton site. AdvanceTEC provided engineering, design, 3D BIM Modeling and coordination services throughout 2017, and has begun cleanroom construction.
