Richmond, VA, June 16, 2014 – AdvanceTEC, a leader in cleanroom design, cleanroom construction, and process system installation, today announced that it has been awarded a multiyear IDIQ contract from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to perform turn-key process infrastructure and cleanroom tool installation services. The contracted work will be performed at NIST’s NanoFab and Advanced Measurement Laboratory (AML), both located at its main campus in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Its scope includes engineering, 3D BIM modeling, high purity gas and liquid systems, waste abatement and life safety; sophisticated mechanical, electrical, and cleanroom architectural; and rigging / setting of process gear.

AdvanceTEC has previously worked with NIST, completing several successful projects including a “quiet lab” with radiant cooling ceiling technology. The company was selected for this award as a part of a competitive commercial and technical bid process. Key to AdvanceTEC’s selection was their proven past success on the NIST campus, turn-key in house execution methodology, and their ability to perform 3D BIM modeling in house.
