Richmond, VA, March 3, 2021 – AdvanceTEC, the leader in cleanroom design, construction and mission critical process integration, today announced that the company has completed a contract stemming from “Operation Warp Speed” COVID-19 vaccine initiative. As a part of this project, AdvanceTEC worked with one of the top five identified companies for rapid creation and deployment of a vaccine for COVID-19 Coronavirus. AdvanceTEC executed this key vaccine cleanroom project while maintaining cost, schedule, and time-to-market requirements.
The stated goal of Operation Warp Speed is to enable rapid vaccine development and deployment, dramatically compressing the typical vaccine time line. Key to accomplishing this goal was AdvanceTEC’s “Cleanroom IP” platform, which leverages in-house proprietary algorithmic technology, and harnesses digital field scanning, 3D BIM / VDC modeling, laser field layout, off-site fabrication and JIT on-site integration for a robust concept to commissioning delivery. This high-performance vaccine cleanroom was designed and built to meet the ISO 14644-1 standards more specificallyISO 5 Class 100, ISO 6 Class 1,000 and ISO 7 Class 10,000 classifications.
“AdvanceTEC is honored to be a part of Operation Warp Speed and to have the opportunity to put our Cleanroom Integration offering to the test to do our part in enabling a COVID-19 vaccine,” noted Bryan Phelan, AdvanceTEC managing partner and director of customers. “There were a lot of challenges that we had to overcome, and it is truly inspiring to see everyone come together as a team across various industries to hit our committed dates for turnover and validation. Watching our company step up and elevate our work to deliver total performance is what separates us as an industry leader. We have a talented group of professionals and are excited for what the future holds in the biotechnology industry.”
About Opertion Warp Speed
Operation Warp Speed (OWS) aims to deliver 300 million doses of a safe, effective vaccine for COVID-19 by January2021, as part of a broader strategy to accelerate the development, manufacturing, and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics(collectively known as countermeasures). This will be accomplished by investing in and coordinating countermeasure development, OWS will allow countermeasures such as a vaccine to be delivered to patients more rapidly while adhering to standards for safety and efficacy. OWS is a partnership among components of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), including theCenters for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Food and DrugAdministration (FDA), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and theBiomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), and theDepartment of Defense (DoD). OWS engages with private firms and other federal agencies, including the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Energy, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
