Richmond, VA, May 13, 2013 – AdvanceTEC, a leader in cleanroom design and construction, today announced that it has completed cleanroom construction of the University of Alabama’s Science and Engineering Complex (SEC) Phase IV. Located on the University’s campus in Tuscaloosa, AL, and slated for opening in summer 2013, the SEC will include more than 100,000 square feet of research laboratories, faculty offices, graduate student areas, conference and meeting facilities, and other collaboration spaces. AdvanceTEC, contracted for the project by Doster Construction Company due to their extensive cleanroom expertise, provided cleanroom construction, high purity piping and clean build protocol for the project.
“For the SEC project, it was critical for Doster to augment their capabilities with the cleanroom competency and technical capacity this project required, and that’s why they selected AdvanceTEC to be a part of their team,” noted Bryan Phelan, AdvanceTEC managing partner and director of sales, marketing and preconstruction services. “The ability to construct this new research facility without impacting adjacent work and parallel activities in a cost-effective way, and on-time was key to the success of SEC project. Through our extensive cleanroom knowledge and experience, AdvanceTEC was able to deliver on each of these fronts, proving early in the project that we were a partner the full project team could rely on.”
“AdvanceTEC was honored to be a part of this critical project for the University of Alabama,” said Bryan Phelan, AdvanceTEC managing partner and director of sales, marketing and preconstruction services. “We worked closely with Doster and the full project team, incorporating our cleanroom knowledge and experience and our dedication to meeting our commitments to support the overall success of the project. Our team hit our dates, hit our commitments and did not back down from the challenges – in today’s business that is a differentiator for AdvanceTEC and I am proud of our team
