Richmond, VA, August 19, 2020 –   AdvanceTEC, the leader in cleanroom design, construction and mission critical process integration, today announced that the company has been awarded a contract stemming from “Operation Warp Speed” COVID-19 vaccine initiative to provide fast-track cleanroom integration.  As a part of this project, AdvanceTEC is working with one of the top five identified companies for rapid creation and deployment of a vaccine for COVID-19 Coronavirus.  AdvanceTEC is responsible for addressing the design-build cleanroom requirements for production of the vaccine.

The stated goal of Operation Warp Speed is to enable rapid vaccine development and deployment, dramatically compressing the typical vaccine timeline.  AdvanceTEC was selected for this critical project based the company’s demonstrated ability to successfully execute fast-track projects, and its past experience delivering advanced cleanrooms for vaccine production.  Key to delivering the project is AdvanceTEC’s “Cleanroom IP” platform, which leverages in-house proprietary algorithmic technology, and harnesses digital field scanning, 3D BIM / VDC modeling, laser field layout, off-site fabrication and JIT on-site integration for a robust concept to commissioning delivery.

‍Operation Warp Speed (OWS) aims to deliver 300 million doses of a safe, effective vaccine for COVID-19 by January 2021, as part of a broader strategy to accelerate the development, manufacturing, and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics (collectively known as countermeasures).  This will be accomplished by investing in and coordinating countermeasure development, OWS will allow countermeasures such as a vaccine to be delivered to patients more rapidly while adhering to standards for safety and efficacy.  OWS is a partnership among components of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), and the Department of Defense (DoD).
