Richmond, VA, November 4, 2016 – AdvanceTEC, a leader in cleanroom engineering, design, construction and process integration, today announced that it has been awarded a major system upgrade project by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for its advanced NanoFab in Gaithersburg, Maryland. As a part of this project, AdvanceTEC will replace, renovate and upgrade the UPW (ultra-pure water – E.102 grade) and LWN (lab waste neutralization) system.

This latest award is a part of AdvanceTEC’s multiyear IDIQ contract from to perform turn-key process infrastructure and cleanroom tool installation services for NIST at its NanoFab and Advanced Measurement Laboratory (AML), both located at its main campus in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Most recently, AdvanceTEC completed the entire replacement, renovation and upgrade of the TGMS (Toxic Gas Monitoring System) at the NIST Nanofab, a critical project focused on enhancing the life-safety needs of the facility. AdvanceTEC has also recently completed multiple process tool installation projects at NIST, including metrology, spray acid and rapid thermal anneal (RTA) tools.
