Richmond-based AdvanceTEC, LLC Named One of Virginia’s FANTASTIC 50
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Richmond, VA (May 2008) – The Virginia Chamber of Commerce this month named AdvanceTEC, LLC one of Virginia’s FANTASTIC 50, as one of the Commonwealth’s top 50 fastest growing companies.
Since its founding in 2000, AdvanceTEC has designed and built nearly 1 million square feet of cleanroom and laboratory space. With notable clients like the Jacobs Engineering, CB Fleet, and Northrop Grumman, they’ve become well-known in the microelectronics, pharmaceutical, and nanotechnology fields.
Some of AdvanceTEC’s most recent projects include the Duke University’s Center for Integrated Engineering, Medicine and Applied Sciences in the Pratt Engineering Building, Merck HPV Program, University of Maryland, and a multi-project award for a confidential North America based semiconductor & solar high purity materials manufacturer.
AdvanceTEC has been honored both locally and nationally with several awards, including receiving a Mid-Atlantic Construction Best of 2007 Small Projects (under $5 million) Award of Merit and the 2007 Controlled Environments Expert’s Choice Award for Facility of the Year, as well as being named on Inc. Magazine’s 2007 Inc. 5,000 list. AdvanceTEC was also named a Mid-Atlantic Construction Top Specialty Contractor and one of the Richmond Times-Dispatch’s 17th Annual Rising 25.
Virginia’s FANTASTIC 50 award program is sponsored by the Virginia Chamber, Virginia Business Magazine, Goodman & Company, SunTrust Bank, Westfields Marriott, Alion Science & Technology, SAIC, In Your Ear Creative Post and VisualCV, Inc. The FANTASTIC 50 awards recognize leading businesses across the Commonwealth in all types of industries, and are the only statewide awards of this type in Virginia. Companies were judged on four-year sales revenue history. Winners were honored at the annual awards banquet held at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly on May 1.
