AdvanceTEC, LLC Named One of Richmond’s Rising 25 - Again

Richmond, VA (Jan. 2007) – For the second year running, AdvanceTEC, LLC has been named one of Richmond’s 25 fastest growing companies.
The Rising 25 is an annual list of the Richmond area’s fastest-growing private, independent businesses. The recognition is designed to acknowledge the area's entrepreneurial spirit and highlight a select few noteworthy businesses.
According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, “phenomenal growth is the one trait that links all the companies on the Rising 25.”
The Rising 25 program is co-sponsored by KPMG LLP and the Richmond Times-Dispatch. To be eligible for the Rising 25, a company must be privately held and independent with headquarters in the Richmond area; operate for a profit; and have at least a five-year sales history and revenue of more than $200,000 in 2000, the base year.
AdvanceTEC has been honored both locally and nationally with several awards, most recently being named one of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s FANTASTIC 50. Other awards include being named on the 2006 Rising 25 list as well as a Company to Watch for the 2006 Virginia Capital Day. The company also recently won Controlled Environments Magazine’s top prize, the Experts’ Choice Award for Best Facility for its work on the Naval Research Laboratory Institute for Nanoscience.
Some of AdvanceTEC’s most recent projects include Altea Therapeutics, Duke University’s Center for Integrated Engineering, Medicine and Applied Sciences in the Pratt Engineering Building, Cambrex Biosciences, and Norfolk State University’s Class 100 R&D Nanotech Facility at the Marie V. McDemmond Center for Applied Research.
